1. Certificate of Theology
    • This is designed to provide the basic training for Christian ministry. It includes Bible Books surveys, Bible Doctrine surveys, and a couple of Practical Ministry courses.
    • The entry requirement for this program is a Uganda Certificate of Education with at least 3 passes or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • This is two-year course that runs for two years covering a minimum of 60 hours. This can be studied from both the main campus and from the Global Bible Institutes training centers.
  2. Diploma of Theology
    • This is a three-year course covering a minimum of 114 credit hours. This program is only found at the GTS main campus.
    • It is designed to train and equip men for pastoral ministry, church, organizational, and Christian ministry leadership. Its curriculum is deigned in such a way that the man of God is equipped with skills to rightly handle God’s word and effectively minister to God’s flock. It includes hours in bible books, bible doctrines, ministry courses, preaching courses, and some general requirements like English and Introduction to Greek.
    • The entry requirement for this program is a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education with at least 1 principal pass or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  3.  Bachelor’s Degree Equivalent — commonly referred to as Fourth-Year
    • This program is specially designed to provide additional training in research and writing, Greek, and advanced practical ministry for potential teachers and trainers.
    • The entry requirement for this program is a diploma in theology and it runs for two years covering a total of 32 hours.

Accreditation

GTS is accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education.

Study Schedule

April term – New intake; Certificate, Diploma, and Fourth Year class.

July term – Certificate, Diploma, and Fourth Year class.

October term – Certificate and Diploma classes only.

January term – Certificate and Diploma classes only.

Admission Criteria

The admission criteria are designed to provide adequate knowledge of the applicant to the Admission Committee so that it can determine whether the applicant meets the qualifications for studying at GTS.

Application forms are picked from the Seminary and filled out completely, and returned to the Registrar’s Office along with a passport size photograph and academic transcripts from all previous schools and colleges attended.

Successful applicants are invited to attend an interview at GTS, during which they are asked to do an English Assessment Test. Interviewees are notified by letter if they have been successful with their initial application.

Successful Applicants are then admitted and notified of when they are to report for class and the preparations they must make to attend college.

Students who arrive four days late for classes or/and without the required initial fees payment may have their admissions canceled.

All successful applicants will attend GTS on a two-term probationary basis and must establish in those two terms their worthiness to continue with their studies.
